Career and Technical Education Month
The Association for Career and Technical Education (ACTE) has designated February 1-28, 2011, as Career and Technical Education Month to raise the awareness of the importance of educational and career planning. The Proclamation is submitted to the Board in recognition of the importance of career and technical education in preparing a well-educated and skilled workforce in America; and to encourage citizens, educators, counselors, and administrators to promote career and technical education as a valuable option to students.
To proclaim February 1-28, 2011, as Career and Technical Education Month and encourage all citizens to become familiar with the services and benefits offered by the Career and Technical Education programs in this community.
