Agenda Item #42
School Board Policy 6330 Revision- Acquisition of Professional Architectural, Engineering, Landscape Architectural, or Land Surveying Services
School Board Policy 6330 defines the criteria by which the Board procures Professional Services. These services include Architectural, Engineering and other professional services provided by Consultants.
A bill that took effect on July 1, 2009 amends several statutes, including 287.055, Florida Statutes. The revisions to Section 287.055 - Consultant's Competitive Negotiation Act (CCNA), authorize governmental entities to enter into continuing contracts for construction projects which do not exceed $2,000,000 in estimated cost per project. This is an increase from $1,000,000. The revisions also increase the maximum fee for individual studies under these continuing contracts from $50,000 to $200,000.
The purpose of this change to the Board Policy is to bring the Policy into alignment with the revised Florida Statute.
