The Cocoa High Robotics Team consisting of approximately 12-18 students and four (4) chaperones is planning to attend either the FIRST Midwest Regional in Chicago, Illinois or the FIRST Colorado Regional in Denver, Colorado. The decision of which event will be determined by FIRST criteria. The four adult chaperones are both male and female. The team will travel by plane and will be staying at a FIRST authorized hotel closest to the event. Students will be either walking or taking public transportation from the hotel to the University of Illinois-Chicago or the University of Colorado. The students will miss four days of school for Chicago or none for Colorado since it is during spring vacation.
The team is also planning to attend the FIRST World Championship in St. Louis, MO April 27 - May 1, 2016. World Championship is an invite only – to the best of the best, world-wide event.
