Field Trip - Cocoa High School FIRST Robotics - FIRST Buckeye Regional in Cleveland, OH
The Cocoa High Robotics Team consisting of approximately 12-18 students and three (3) chaperones is planning to attend the FIRST Buckeye Regional in Cleveland, OH from March 24 through March 29, 2015. The three adult chaperones (both male and female) are composed of a current Brevard Public Schools employee, an engineer mentor from NASA Launch Services and an advanced level volunteer with BPS who are properly fingerprinted with the district. The team will travel by plane and will be staying at a FIRST authorized hotel closest to the event. Students will either walk or use rental vans to get to and from the hotel and Cleveland State University. No school days will be missed.
The trip will be funded by various fundraisers and business partners including NASA Launch Services, QuinetiQ Corporation and Brevard Public Schools. THERE WILL BE NO COST TO THE DISTRICT.
Approve the request for the Cocoa High Robotics Team, approximately 12-18 students and three (3) chaperones, to attend the FIRST Buckeye Regional in Cleveland, OH March 24-29, 2015. The students will not miss school.
