Fee for Submission of Choice and Out of Area Applications
The charging of a fee for the submission of choice and out of area applications is one of the identified strategies to generate revenue for the District. The attached fee structure reflects various options for the Board to consider in determining the amount to charge for each choice and out of area application submitted to the District.
Staff is in the process of meeting with various companies that provide on-line payment options. Moreover, staff is creating processes that will minimize the work required of schools to execute this new endeavor.
To assist the Board in establishing a fee structure, an overview of selected vendors and identified (convenience) costs associated with implementation will be provided to the Board prior to the January 22, 2013 Board meeting.
