Change Order to Owner-Contractor Agreement for AHU Replacement at Port Malabar Elementary School
On 12/09/08, the Board approved the AHU Replacement at Port Malabar Elementary School for a cost of $665,966.40 with Air Mechanical and Service Corporation (AMSCO) (Agenda Item #23). Amendment #1 will increase the cost by $81,317.08. These costs were not included in the original Scope of Work as the code requirements were not identified in the original design and were discovered during the project. Funding CO&D's are designated for HVAC projects and will be used to fund the additional costs. A time extension of 60 days is required for this additional Work. Amendment No. 1 is attached.
Approve an increase in the contract cost in the amount of $81,317.08. Approve Amendment #1 to modify the existing Owner-Contractor Agreement for AHU Replacement at Port Malabar Elementary School and increase the contract from $665,966.40 to $747,283.48 and extend the Date of Substantial Completion by 60 days.
