Contracted Services Agreement between Mila Elementary and Workshops in a Box, LLC (Dr. Angela Martin Walker)
Workshops in a Box will provide an evening workshop for families based on the Family Literacy Program "Readers of the Caribbean" on Tuesday, February 15, 2011. This research-based program was developed by Dr. Angela Martin Walker who also developed Families Building Better Readers and Mysteries in the Middle both widely implemented throughout Brevard and the state of Florida. Title I funds designated for parental involvement will support the cost of $1,321.00 for implementation of this workshop. This includes: Master Trainer, Event Coordination Support and Technical Assistance, RoC Family Maps (participant handouts for up to 100 families), RoC Workshop Promotion Flyer, Evaluation Forms, Travel from Clermont, Florida to Merritt Island, Florida. The participants who attend the RoC Family Workshop will be prepared to promote consistent effective reading practice at home.
Approve the contracted services agreement for the amount of $1,321.00 between Mila Elementary and Workshops in a Box, LLC for parental involvement in the Readers of the Caribbean Family Literacy Program.
