Involuntary Termination of Instructional Employee, Kristen Minton
Kristen Minton is an instructional employee of the District and is employed as a Speech-Language Pathologist under a Professional Service Contract. The Superintendent has charged Ms. Minton with gross insubordination and willful neglect of duty by repeatedly being absent from work without giving prior notice, without providing a doctor's note and failing to report for work at her assigned duty position or respond to communications from her supervisors as set forth in the Superintendent's February 3, 2014 letter attached hereto as Exhibit "A."
Terminate the employment of a Speech-Language Pathologist, Kristen Minton, and cancel her Professional Services Contract effective February 11, 2014.
In the event Ms. Minton makes a timely request for a hearing, authorize the School Board Attorney to transmit the hearing request to the Division of Administrative Hearings for further proceedings.
Authorize the Superintendent to retain services of counsel for the hearing process if requested.
