Job Description - Staff Development Coordinator
The Department of Professional Learning and Development is revising the job description of the Coordinator - Staff Development for Teachers & Leaders in an effort to best capture the scope of responsibilities inherent in the role. Additionally, the position qualifications have been amended to seek talent that can adequately support the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to be successful in this role.
This position is pivotal in the professional development of Brevard Public Schools staff. From design to implementation to evaluation, this role is responsible for the in-service training for tomorrow's District leaders.
This request includes a change from a non-bargaining 20 to a non-bargaining 23, aligning this position with the same salary as an Assistant Principal in the District. There will be an overall cost savings to the budget, despite the change in salary grade, due to retirement in the current position.
Recommend approval of the change in job description for the Coordinator - Staff Development for Teachers & Leaders to support the professional development of district staff.
