MISSION: TO SERVE EVERY STUDENT WITH EXCELLENCE AS THE STANDARD
Agenda Item #35
F-12. Approve the Proposed GED Testing Fee Increase
The GED Testing Office is requesting that the School Board of Brevard County raise the GED testing fees from the current $40 to $50. The last time the fees were raised was in 1998 and since then the cost of testing materials, along with operational cost to run the office and staff has increased. The counties around us Orange, Seminole, Lake, Volusia and Osceola have all raised their fees to $50 so we would be in line with what is occurring at the counties around us. This will bring us to the max that is allowed by the Florida DOE to charge for testing according to State Board Rule 6A-6.021.
Approve the proposed GED Testing Fee increase from the current $40 to the proposed $50 dollars.
