Discussion

Secondary Comprehensive Reading Intervention Program Adoption Recommendation Highlights and Executive Summary are attached.  Total cost of programs includes ongoing professional development which can occur over the summer, pre-planning, and throughout the upcoming school years.

 

The District Secondary Comprehensive Reading Intervention Program Committees have selected the instructional materials listed for the following Intensive Reading classes:

 

Tier Three Middle School

Language!, by Sopris West Educational Services

 

Tier Two Middle School

Read-180, by Scholastic

 

Tier One Middle School

Passport Reading Journeys, by Voyager Expanded Learning

 

Tier Three High School

Passport Reading Journeys, by Voyager Expanded Learning

 

Tier Two High School

Read-180, by Scholastic

 

Tier One High School

Edge, by Hampton-Brown/National Geographic School Publishing



Recommendation

The District Secondary Comprehensive Reading Intervention Program Committees are recommending that the district adopt the instructional materials listed for the above Intensive Reading classes.
