The School Board of Brevard County, Florida met in regular session on Tuesday, February 26, 2019, at the Educational Services Facility, 2700 Judge Fran Jamieson Way, Viera, Florida. Notice of the meeting was advertised in the Eagle newspaper on Thursday, February 14, 2019. Accept the resignation of Neil Appel from the position of Director of Purchasing & Warehouse Services, effective February 12, 2019.

 

Accept the retirement of Manuel A. Ramirez from the position of Assistant Principal (10 month) at Central Middle School, effective June 30, 2019.

 

Accept the position change of Sarah J. Oberbeck from the position of Interim Assistant Principal, board approved on October 9, 2018, to the position of Assistant Principal (10 month) at Meadowlane Intermediate  Elementary School, effective on the issuance date of her certification of February 9, 2019.

 

Accept the position change of Brittany K. Postlethweight from the position of Interim Assistant Principal, board approved on January 22, 2019, to the position of Assistant Principal (10 month) at Madison Middle School, effective on the issuance date of her certification of February 13, 2019.

 

Accept the retirement of Teresa A. Wright from the position of Director of Title I, effective May 1, 2019.

Minutes: Mr. Susin felt that the District was losing out on dollars in marketing.  After some brief discussion, direction was provided to Superintendent Mullins to have staff explore the expansion of marketing; what it would look like, what is the potential for income and what other districts are doing.
