Agenda Item #9

Title
Recognition for the 2010-2011 Florida Positive Behavior Support Model School Awards

Discussion

Florida's Positive Behavior Support Project: Response to Intervention for Behavior at USF is pleased to announce the final determination of Florida model schools.  Three of Brevard's elementary schools were recognized as Positive Behavior Support Model Schools.  There are three levels of awards:  bronze, silver, and gold.  Our schools earned either gold or silver awards!  Schools receiving the PBS Model School designation exemplify best practices in positive behavior support and response to intervention for behavior.

For the 2010-2011 school year, Brevard County School District has been awarded the following PBS Model Schools:

   Atlantis Elementary                        Silver

   Cambridge Elementary Magnet      Silver

   Sabal Elementary                           Gold

Recommendation
To acknowledge and congratulate the Positive Behavior Support teams at Atlantis Elementary, Cambridge Elementary Magnet, and Sable Elementary as recipients of the PBS Model Schools for 2010-2011.  We would also like to present banners and certificates from USF's PBS Project.
