Involuntary Termination of Instructional Employee, Maria T. Crabb
The Board accepted the Superintendent's recommendation to terminate Maria T. Crabb's employment as a teacher at the February 9, 2010, meeting for failure to correct performance deficiencies and incompetency. Pursuant to Section 1012.33(6)(a), Florida Statutes, Ms. Crabb had 15 days after receipt of the charges to request a hearing. Ms. Crabb received the Superintendent's letter notifying her of the charges on January 11, 2010. Ms. Crabb's attorney requested a formal hearing by letter dated February 25, 2010, which was untimely. Pursuant to Section 120.569(1)(c), Florida Statutes, the request for a hearing must be dismissed.
