Eau Gallie High School FIRST Robotics Team to Attend the World Championship for Robotics in Atlanta, Georgia
The Eau Gallie High School FIRST Robotics team would like to attend the World Robotics Championship at the Georgia Dome in Atlanta, Georgia on April 15-19, 2009. Approximately 13 students and eight adults (both male and female) will be attending. All adult mentors are fingerprinted and on file with the district, and parent chaperones are listed as volunteers. Transportation will be via an approved charter bus to Atlanta, Georgia. The robotics team from Cocoa High School will accompany them on the bus. The dates of the competition are April 15-19, 2009 (leaving school on Wednesday, April 15th at 7:30 a.m.). There will be no cost to the district, as funding will be provided by corporate sponsorships, donations and fund raisers. The students will miss three school days.
