Recognition of the 2012 - 2013 Florida Positive Behavior Support Model School Awards


Florida's Positive Support/Multi Tiered Systems of Support Project at the University of South Florida is pleased to announce the final determination for Florida's Model Schools.  Seven of Brevard's  schools were recognized as Positive Behavior Support (PBS) Model Schools.  There are three levels of awards:  bronze, silver and gold.  Our schools earned awards at all levels!  Schools receiving the PBS designation exemplify best practices in Positive Behavior Support and Multi Tiered Systems of Support for Behavior.

For the 2012 - 2013 school year, the following schools have been recognized as Positive Behavior Support Model Schools:

Atlantis Elementary - Bronze

Cambridge Elementary Magnet- Gold

Cape View Elementary - Gold (second consecutive year)

Sabal Elementary - Gold (third consecutive year)

Croton Elementary - Bronze

Discovery Elementary - Bronze

Andrew Jackson Middle School - Silver


To acknowledge and congratulate the Positive Behavior Support teams at Atlantis Elementary, Cambridge Elementary Magnet School, Cape View Elementary, Sabal Elementary, Croton Elementary, Discovery Elementary, and Andrew Jackson Middle School as recipients of the PBS Model School Award for the 2012 - 2013 school year.  We would also like to present certificates from USF's PBS/MTSS Project to the principals of these schools.
