Agenda Item #34
American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) 2009 Amendment
As required by the Florida Department of Education, the Office of Exceptional Student Education will be submitting a quarterly report due April 5, 2010 to indicate expenditures of our American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) 2009 allocation of funds. During the time of quarterly reporting, school districts are permitted to amend ARRA budgets that involve language that better addresses the use of these funds according to ARRA guidelines.
The State requested that we make code adjustments to accompanying narratives that were used in the original grant application. The adjustments in coding will reflect benefits that students without disabilities gain through ARRA funding, that typically would be specific to instruction or contact made to students with disabilities. The State requires the completion and Board approval of the attached form and will then exercise its determination to approve this amendment.
Approve State generated narrative form 150 to support Brevard Public Schools' quarterly report as required by the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) 2009.
