Agenda Item #44
Certification of Florida Inventory of School Houses (FISH) Data
State Requirements for Educational Facilities (SREF) 6.1(7)(c) requires that, "Prior to April 1 of each year, each district shall review the Florida Inventory of School Houses (FISH) and shall certify to the Office (of Educational Facilities) that the inventory is current and accurate."
1013.31(1)(b)1 F.S. requires the Net Square Footage and the Student Stations reported in FISH to be at least 95% accurate. During the week of 11/16/09, staff from the Office of Educational Facilities conducted an inspection of six schools, representing 5% of our total space. On 1/6/10, the Superintendent received a letter notifying us that our FISH data for those six schools was 99.17% accurate.
