2014-15 Student Accommodation Plan
Each year, the Facilities Services Planning staff, in association with the Area Superintendents, the school principals and the Transportation Department, prepares a Student Accommodation Plan to ensure that adequate and appropriate facilities are available to accommodate the students and programs planned for the following school year.
For the 2014-15 school year, five (5) additional relocatable classrooms have been requested. Three (3) of the additional classroom units requested are currently surplus units at those schools and there is no cost associated with this change. The remaining two (2) units will be surplus units that are relocated from another school. The cost to relocate these units will be approximately $90,000. Funding for this expenditure is included in the 2013-14 Capital Budget. Approval for this expenditure will be submitted for Board approval as a separate agenda item.
