K-12 School Board Student Art Show Recognition
The School Board Art Show, the only K-12 venue for the visual arts, is being held at ESF April 4 - April 9, 2014. The opening reception and awards ceremony are being held on April 8, 2014, prior to and during the School Board meeting. Judges from the community select the winning art for K-2 Special Recognition, 1st, 2nd, 3rd Place Awards, and Merit Awards for grades 3-12. Best of Show is also selected for Elementary, Middle, and High School division levels. A representative from the Brevard Schools Foundation, School Board, and Brevard Public Schools ESF Administration, together selected the three Purchase Awards for each division. The award-winning artwork will be displayed in the ESF lobby area until April 24, 2014. The three Purchase Award pieces will be on permanent display at ESF. As part of the School Board Art Show recognitions, the Brevard Art Educator's Association (BAEA) will present the 2014 Outstanding Principal Supporting the Arts Award.
Present the BAEA Outstanding Principal Supporting the Arts Award, followed by the School Board Art Show Special Recognition, 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Place, Best of Show, and Purchase Awards for approximately fifty student winners from the School Board Art Show.
