2013-2014 Carl D. Perkins Career and Technical Education Improvement Act (Perkins IV) Grant
The Office of Career & Technical Education is requesting permission to write and submit an application for federal grant funds under the Carl D. Perkins, Career and Technical Education Improvement Act (Perkins IV). The total amount of the SY 2013-2014 grant application is based on entitlement funding of $594,858 for Brevard Public Schools. The 2013-2014 grant application represents the sixth year of the overall plan submitted in 2008. This allocation is contingent on Florida's 2014 Federal Award. The submission deadline for this grant application is May 1, 2013.
The purpose of Perkins IV is to improve career and technical education programs. Required use of funds includes strengthening the academic, career, and technical education of secondary students who elect to enroll in career and technical education programs.
Approve the writing and submission of the 2013-2014 Carl D. Perkins Career and Technical Education Improvement Act (Perkins IV) grant application for federal funds in the amount of $594,858, to be submitted to the Florida Department of Education prior to May 1, 2013.
