"Expanding Expression" Training and Presentation to District Speech-Language Pathologists
On May 13, 2013 Sara Smith will present "The Expanding Expression Tool" training for 150 District Speech-Language Pathologists who serve students with disabilities.
"The Expanding Expression Tool" (EET) kit is a multi-sensory tool for improved oral and written expression and comprehension across the curriculum. This program targets the way students organize multiple areas of language using three basic learning styles: auditory, visual and kinesthetic. Participants will learn how to collect baseline data and monitor progress using the program.
The $15,200 cost for the training includes a $3,000 training fee based on 150 participants, $750.00 of associated travel costs and $11,450 for 50 Expanding Expression kits. Funding will be provided by the Office of Instructional, Behavioral and Psychological Services.
Approve the Contracted Services Agreement with Expanding Expression to provide training to public school staff who serve students with disabilities.
