Departmental Reorganization Plans - Capital
The Department of Facilities Services is experiencing increases in activities which have necessitated the need to reorganize many components of the department. Plant Operations & Maintenance has a need to restructure their service delivery model and Environmental Health & Safety needs to restructure management & support systems for better meet future obligations. Increased demand upon the Facilities Planning and Project Management/Permitting offices requires a change in use of human capital as does the Energy/Resource Conservation division.
The overall package results in the deletion of five positions, addition of six positions, and changes to eleven job descriptions. Additionally, ten new job descriptions are proposed. Employees in the affected positions will not be adversely affected in any way.
Recommend approval of the proposed Facilities reorganization as outlined.
