Title
H-2. AVID Agreement between Brevard Public Schools and the AVID Center 2008-2009

Discussion
AVID, Advancement Via Individual Determination, is an international program with the mission to "ensure that all students, and most especially the least served students who are in the middle" succeed in a rigorous curriculum, complete a rigorous college preparatory path, enter mainstream activities of the school, increase their enrollment in four-year colleges and become educated and responsible participants and leaders in a democratic society.  Students in seven Brevard Public Schools have benefited from this program.  The cost for continuing this program in these schools for the 2008-2009 school year is $20,230.00.  The services provided through this contract include training, materials and support from the AVID national, divisional and state offices.
