Palm Bay High School Trip to 50th National Junior Science & Humanities Symposium in Bethesda, Maryland
The 50th National Junior Science & Humanities Symposium is sponsored by the U.S. Army, Navy, and Air Force on May 2-6, 2012, in Bethesda, Maryland. The National JSHS will bring together 240 high school students who qualify for attendance by submitting and presenting original scientific research papers in regional symposia held at universities nationwide.
Three Palm Bay High School students along with their team sponsor/chaperones (Richard Regan and Karen Regan, teachers at Stone Middle School) have been invited to participate in the symposium. The U.S. Army pays for all expenses (airfare, hotel, meals) for team members and their chaperones. There will be no cost to the District.
The group plans to depart from Orlando International Airport to Bethesda, Maryland, on Wednesday, May 2, and return on Sunday, May 6. Three days of school (May 2, 3, 4) will be missed by the students.
Approve the trip request by Palm Bay High School for students to attend the 50th National Junior Science & Humanities Symposium in Bethesda, Maryland, on May 2-6, 2012.
