Field Trip - Viera High and Space Coast Jr/Sr High Family Career and Community Leaders of America Club members to the National Competition in Nashville, TN
The Viera High and Space Coast Jr/Sr High Family Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) club qualified to compete at the National FCCLA Leadership Conference on July 2-6, 2017. The competing three members include one male student and one female student attending with their mother, the faculty sponsor, and one additional female student who will be traveling and staying with her parent. Registration will be will be paid by FCCLA. Students will pay their own expenses and be assisted by funds from approved fund raisers held throughout the year. THERE IS NO COST TO THE DISTRICT.
The group will travel either by air or car to Nashville, Tennessee on July 1, 2017 and return on July 7, 2017. The event will be held at the Music City Center, 201 Fifth Avenue South, Nashville, TN 37203. Lodging will be at the National Conference approved Grand Ole Opry Hotel. Transportation between the hotel and convention center will be provided by the conference. Students will miss no time from school. Costs should not exceed $1,400 per student. Funds will be collected and distributed from the Brevard Schools Foundation account, if awarded, and from parents, donations and chapter funds.
Approve the request for Viera High and Space Coast Jr/Sr High FCCLA club members to travel to Nashville, Tennessee on July 1-7, 2017 to participate in the FCCLA National Leadership Conference.
