Field Trip - Palm Bay Magnet High School MCJROTC Trip to Marine Corps Recruit Depot at Parris Island, South Carolina
Palm Bay Magnet High School's MCJROTC is providing an excellent opportunity for 30 cadets to tour the Marine Corps Recruit Depot at Parris Island on July 5-7, 2017 and participate in the obstacle and confidence courses and other base facilities. Cadets will observe morning colors and graduation from basic training on July 7th and tour the facilities at Marine Corps Recruit Depot (MCRD) Parris Island.
Cadets will be accompanied by two MCJROTC instructors and one female A+ volunteer. Transportation will be provided by a charter bus departing from Palm Bay Magnet High School on July 5, 2017 at 6:00 a.m. arriving at MCRD Parris Island, South Carolina at 12:00 p.m. After completion of the MCRD Parris Island tour, we will depart for Palm Bay arriving at approximately 6:00 p.m. on July 7th. Lodging for cadets will be in the barracks and meals provided in the mess hall. There will no charge for lodging or meals. Transportation cost is approximately $4,500. $1,000 is paid by the Marine Corps and $3,500 by approved fund raisers held throughout the school year. THERE IS NO COST TO THE DISTRICT.
