Adult Education And Family Literacy - Building An Adult Education Career Pathways System For Transitioning To Postsecondary Education
We are requesting that Brevard Public Schools accept the Career Pathways grant awarded to Adult Education, in the amount of $146,924.
This project provides supplemental financial assistance for Brevard Public Schools Office of Adult/Community Education to establish a collaborative partnership with several community organizations such as Brevard Community College, Brevard Workforce, Job Corps, and various businesses to provide a career pathways program in all adult education centers within the county.
Our goal with the new grant will be improving the quality of adult education programs and student outcomes by incorporating the Adult Career Pathways Framework and aligning program operation and curriculum to include:
Adult Education was given permission to write for the Career Pathways grant on January 18, 2011, item #29.
Copies of the application will be located in the Adult/Community Education Director's office and the North Area Adult Education grant office.
There is not a required match or any in-kind contributions as a condition of this grant.
Approve to accept the Career Pathways grant awarded to Adult Education, in the amount of $146,924.
