Entouch Thermostat Installation Phase II
This project is the second phase of an Energy Conservation project to replace stand-alone thermostats with centrally controlled thermostats and existing centrally-controlled thermostats at the end of their life cycle and facing imminent failure. The estimated Return On Investment is 1.63 years based on a total project cost of $105,475.
Bids for the thermostats were solicited on Demand Star. One vendor, Stromquist & Company, submitted a responsive proposal in the amount of $62,875. Sensors will be purchased in the amount of $2,600 from Automation Components, Inc.
Estimated cost for Educational Technology components and connections is $4,000.
Estimated cost of labor by "in-house" construction personnel is $35,000 (cross-charged to Capital).
Estimated costs for permitting, inspection and administration is $1,000.
School Board approval is required for purchase orders over $50,000. In order to expedite the work, approval is requested as a consent item without prior information.
Approve a total project budget for the Entouch Thermostat Installation Phase II project in the amount of $105,475.
Approve a bid for thermostats from Stromquist & Company, in the amount of $62,875.
