Emergency Purchase for Rockledge High School

Discussion
Plant Operations and Maintenance created a Emergency Purchase Request on February 23, 2016 for the replacement of the Heat Exchanger Plate Pack on the Thermal Ice Storage Central Energy Plant at Rockledge High School. Due to the ruptured plates, water was leaking uncontrollably from the Exchanger. The Cooling Exchanger had to be repaired because at the time the Cooling Energy Plant was not working and could not provide conditioned cold air to the school classrooms and office spaces. Board Confirmation is requested since the total cost of this replacement/repair exceeds the $50,000 threshold established by Board Policy 6340. An Emergency Purchase Order (ref.#21612659) for the amount of $54,702.12 was processed by the Assistant Superintendent of Facilities Services and the Purchasing Department for this need.
