North Area Bus Compound - Replacement of Underground Fuel Storage Tanks - Design Build Services

Discussion

The underground fuel storage tanks at the North Area Bus Compound need to be replaced with above ground storage tanks.

Canaveral Construction, Inc. has submitted a Guaranteed Maximum Price (GMP) in an amount not to exceed $374,669 under their design build continuing services contract based on a Design Criteria Package prepared by District staff. Administrative and permitting expenses are estimated at $5,000.

Board approval is required for purchase orders over $50,000. In order to expedite the work, approval is requested as a consent item without prior information.



Recommendation

Approve the total project budget for the North Area Bus Compound underground fuel storage tank replacement in the amount not to exceed $379,669.

Approve the Guaranteed Maximum Price (GMP) submitted by Canaveral Construction, Inc. in the amount not to exceed $374,669, under their design build continuing services contract, for the North Area Bus Compound underground fuel storage tank replacement.
