Endeavour Elementary School - HVAC Construction Administration Services - SALES SURTAX
Plant Operations and Maintenance staff identified the chiller and central mechanical plant components at Endeavour Elementary School as failing. The system is 24 years old and badly deteriorating.
The School Board approved the engagement of OCI Associates, Inc., on December 18, 2015 under their continuing contract for mechanical, electrical, plumbing and fire protection (MEP) services, to design the project in an amount not to exceed $44,940. The School Board approved the construction management services Guaranteed Maximum Price (GMP) submitted by Canaveral Construction, Inc., on April 12, 2016 in the amount of $615,656 for the chiller replacement project. The work is scheduled summer 2016.
OCI Associates, Inc. has submitted a proposal for construction administration services under their continuing contract for MEP services in an amount not to exceed $10,360. This change to their proposal exceeds the 10% and $50,000 thresholds, requiring Board approval. These services are on an as-needed basis and include shop drawing review, preconstruction meeting, weekly construction meetings and final close out.
Board approval is requested without prior information in order to prepare for summer 2016 construction.
Approve increasing the total project budget by $10,360 for construction administration services for the chiller replacement services at Endeavour Elementary School.
Approve the proposal submitted by OCI Associates, Inc. under their continuing contract for MEP services in an amount not to exceed $10,360 for construction administration services for the chiller replacement project at Endeavour Elementary School.
