2015-2016 Multiagency Service Network for Students with Emotional/Behavioral Disabilities (SEDNET) Project Application

Discussion

This State Discretionary Grant application described below is being prepared for online submission to the Florida Department of Education, Bureau of Exceptional Education Services by May 22, 2015.
The purpose of this grant is to continue to improve services for students with emotional and behavioral disabilities in Circuit 18 and is aligned with the "No Child Left Behind" federal legislation.  Funds are to be used to supplement Brevard and Seminole school districts' endeavors in this area and to continue with prevention/intervention efforts.  The SEDNET grant provides 1.50 FTE for project staff, as well as training and curriculum materials.  A complete copy of the grant is available in the Office of Student Services.



Recommendation
Approve the writing and submittal of the 2015-2016 grant for SEDNET (Multiagency Network for Students with Emotional/Behavioral Disabilities) and authorize the Superintendent's signature.  The approximate amount of the grant will be $120,000.
