Agenda Item #41
Adult Education Fees for 2017-18
According to state statute 1009.22, workforce education programs are required to charge tuition and fees for instruction. For the 2017-18 school year, the standard tuition rate for adult general education programs will be $30.00 per term for all GED, Adult ESL, Adult High School, and Adult Basic Education classes.
In 2017-18, we are introducing post-secondary adult vocational programs (PSAV) at Brevard Adult Education. Those rates, per statue, will be $2.33 per hour for in-state students and $9.32 per hour for out of state students. Students in these programs will be responsible for material fees and books that will be determined by our cost.
Brevard Adult Education is proud to announce the introduction of community leisure and workforce classes. These classes will be offered at a rate of $3.00 per instructional hour plus material fees that will vary according to the course.
Approve the fees set forth by the Florida Department of Education in addition to those requested by Brevard Adult & Community Education.
