Revisions to Board Policy 2260.01
At the request of the Board, the Superintendent was asked to add specific language to existing policy that prohibit discrimination related to a person’s sexual orientation and gender identity. This policy was identified as one of the policies that needed to be changed.
Summary of Proposed Policy: The policy now includes proposed language that identifies sexual orientation and gender identity as a form of sex discrimination which is in keeping with the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commissions (EEOC) definition of sex discrimination.
Authorize the superintendent to advertise for a public hearing to approve the revisions to policy 2260.01 (Nondiscrimination Grievance Procedure).
