Palm Bay Magnet High School Trip to 2016 National Technology Student Association Conference in Nashville, Tennessee
The Palm Bay Magnet High School Technology Student Association (TSA) is requesting Board approval to attend the National TSA Conference and Competition in Nashville, Tennessee, on June 27 - July 3, 2016.
The group consists of nine students and two teacher chaperones. Palm Bay Magnet High is renting two 7-passenger vans to transport students and projects to the conference. The group plans to depart Palm Bay Magnet High at 6:00 a.m. on June 27 and return at approximately 2:00 a.m. on July 3. Two additional drivers, registered and insured, will assist in driving responsibilities. During the trip the group will be staying at the Gaylord Opryland Resort and Convention Center in Nashville, Tennessee.
The students will be responsible for the cost of the trip which is estimated at $655 per student. This amount includes registration, transportation, hotel accommodations and food. The students conducted fundraiser activities during the year to offset expenses. There will be no cost to the District.
Approve the trip request by Palm Bay Magnet High School for students and chaperones to attend the 2016 National TSA Conference in Nashville, Tennessee, on June 27 - July 3, 2016.
