Cocoa High FIRST Robotics Field Trip - Indiana Robotics Invitational in Indianapolis, IN
The Cocoa High Robotics Team is planning to attend the FIRST Indiana Robotics Invitational in Indianapolis, Indiana. The application for participation in this event opened on May 3, 2010 and teams were selected on May 5. The chaperones include one female and two male adults. One chaperone is a Brevard Public Schools employee; two are engineer mentors from NASA Launch Services/Analex Corporation, who are properly fingerprinted with the District. The team will travel by School Board approved rental vans or charter bus from Cocoa High School to and from competition. The team will be staying at a FIRST authorized hotel close to the event and will be taking the rental vans or charter bus to and from the hotel and Lawrence North High School. The trip will be funded by various fundraisers and business partners including: Analex Corporation, NASA Launch Services, Brevard Public Schools and Gov Connection. THERE WILL BE NO COST TO THE DISTRICT.
Approve the request for the Cocoa High Robotics Team, approximately 8 students and 3 chaperones, to attend the FIRST Indiana Robotics Invitational in Indianapolis, Indiana July 15-18, 2010. The event takes place during the summer and students will not miss any school.
