Naming the Melbourne High School Football Field/Gymnasium Area the "Dr. Thomas W. McIntyre Athletic Complex"
The Melbourne High School Advisory Council, students, faculty and staff are requesting that the football field/new gymnasium area at the school be named after Dr. Thomas W. McIntyre. Dr. McIntyre was a Melbourne High School teacher/coach (1978-1986), assistant principal (1986-1988), and principal (1999-2003).
Dr. McIntyre was an exceptional educator, an outstanding leader and a person committed to the best interests of students whom he served. During his 30 year career, Dr. McIntyre served Brevard County as a teacher, coach, assistant principal, principal and area superintendent. Every position he held was served in an exemplary manner.
It is requested that the Melbourne High School football field/new gymnasium area be named the "Dr. Thomas W. McIntyre Athletic Complex".
Hold Public Hearing and approve the request to name the Melbourne High School football field/gymnasium area the "Dr. Thomas W. McIntyre Athletic Complex".
