Adopt Revised Facility Use Procedures and Related Fee Schedule for Use of District Facilities

Discussion

The administrative procedures were revised to require not-for-profit, non-district sponsored youth groups to reimburse the district's direct costs when they are in our facilities after 6:30 PM Monday through Friday or on the weekends.  Catergoy II in the revised procedure has a complete definition of a not-for-profit, non-district sponsored youth group.  Direct costs include utility expenses and personnel expenses if the school is required to have an employee present.  Currently these groups are able to use district facilities without cost as long as there is a custodian in the building performing their cleaning duties.  The utility rates and facility use charges have not increased since 1995.  The proposed facility and utility rates have been updated to reflect the current average cost for the use of facilities based on the size of the room or other area.



Recommendation

Adopt the Revised Administrative Procedures and Related Fee Schedule for Board Policy 7510 - Use of District Facilities.
