2008 Outstanding Assistant Principal and Principal Achievement Awards for Outstanding Leadership

Discussion

The Outstanding Assistant Principal Award recognizes assistant principals for their contributions to their schools and communities. The program honors assistant principals that have utilized teamwork and leadership skills to increase skills that enhance student performance, promote safe learning environments, and establish partnerships with parents and community members.

The Principal Achievement Award for Outstanding Leadership was established in 1988 to recognize exemplary principals for their contributions to their schools and communities. The program honors principals that have spearheaded initiatives to increase student performance, promote safe learning environments, and establish partnerships with parents and community members.



Recommendation

Recognize selected Outstanding Assistant Principals:
Elementary    Lori Migliore, Palm Bay Elementary
Middle          Mollie Vega, Stone Middle
High             Stephanie Soliven, Cocoa High School

Recognize selected principals nominated for the Principal Achievement Award for Outstanding Leadership:
Elementary   Michael Miller, Saturn Elementary
Middle         Andrew Johnson, Stone Middle
High            Tony Hines, Rockledge High

Recognize the assistant principal and principal who will represent the district at the state level:
Principal, Michael Miller of Saturn Elementary
Assistant Principal, Stephanie Soliven of Cocoa High
