Palm Bay Magnet High School Trip to 2014 National TSA Conference in Washington, D.C.
The Palm Bay Magnet High School Technology Student Association requests Board approval to attend the National TSA Conference in Washington, D.C., on June 26 - July 1, 2014.
Seven students and two chaperones have the opportunity to attend the National TSA Conference -- a premier educational event. STEM-based competitions and leadership training will be offered during the conference.
The students and chaperones plan to fly from Melbourne International Airport to Washington, D.C., on the morning of June 26, 2014, and return the evening of July 1, 2014. There is one student who will be traveling by car with his parents. The group will be staying at the Gaylord National Resort & Convention Center in National Harbor, Maryland.
The students will be responsible for the cost of the trip which is estimated at $870 per student/chaperone. The students will be the recipients of fundraising activities to offset expenses.
Approve the trip request by Palm Bay Magnet High School for students to attend the 2014 National Technology Student Association Conference in Washington, D.C., on June 26 - July 1, 2014.
