Job Description - Specialist-Surplus Property
Through an analysis of the Office of Purchasing and Warehouse Services operations and needs assessment in conjunction with integrated efficiencies, the proposed reorganization has identified two vacant Driver/Courier I positions to be deleted. In exchange, in order to meet new departmental assignments and provide more value to District operations, the position of Specialist-Surplus Property has been developed to replace the Surplus Storekeeper position, with the primary goals of maximizing revenue from surplus sales and cross-training with the Specialist-Warehouse. The proposed reorganization of the Office of Purchasing and Warehouse Services will result in an annual savings of projected salaries with fringe benefits of $6,128.
Recommend approval of the creation of the Specialist-Surplus Property position to replace the Surplus Storekeeper position.
