Agenda Item #42
Plant Operations and Maintenance - Parking Lot Repaving
The Office of Environmental Health and Safety has identified the south end of the Plant Operations & Maintenance parking lot in Rockledge as one of the highest priority safety deficiencies in the District. The existing pavement has deteriorated to the extent that pedestrians and vehicles are at risk.
Droor & Associates was hired under his Continuing Contract for Structural Engineering Services to provide a design to replace approximately 5,400 square feet of asphalt paving with 6" of concrete paving over compacted sub-base.
Kinley Corporation has submitted a Guaranteed Maximum Price (GMP) under their Continuing Contract for Construction Management Services in the amount of $54,999.80 based on the design documents by Droor & Associates.
Adequate funding has been identified in the Life-Safety budget for the completed engineering and the proposed GMP, administration, permitting, testing, inspection and contingency costs for a total project cost of $61,548.80.
Because this project exceeds $25,000.00, Board approval is required. Approval is requested as a Consent Agenda Item without previous information.
