2012-2013 Grant Application for Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) Entitlement, Part B and PreK
The IDEA, Part B Entitlement for 2012-13 is $15,506,417 of which $787,440.06 is set aside for Proportionate Share for Parentally Placed Private School students. In addition, the separate Entitlement for PreK is $486,387. The amounts reflect a decrease of $73,283 in Part B and an increase of $7,760 in PreK.
The IDEA application specifies the use of grant funds specifically to support students with disabilities including Parentally Placed Private School students and PreK student with disabilities. The grant funds provide salaries for Teachers, Instructional Assistants, Staffing Specialists, Psychologists, Behavior Analysts, Behavior Techs and other ESE-related staff. The grant provides funding for contractual services with community agencies that provide transition services, school to work experiences, family support, mental health services and nursing services. Professional Development, materials, supplies and technology for individual students, classrooms and staff are also included in the grant application.
Approve the IDEA and PreK grant application and the proposed expenditures.
