SkillsUSA 2011 National Conference for trip in Kansas City, Missouri

Discussion
Andrew Wilde, a Space Coast Junior Senior High School student, competed in "Related Technical Math" at the Region 3 conference.  He won First place which allowed him to compete at the Florida SkillsUSA competition where he also won First place.  By coming in First place Andrew now is allowed to move on to the National level where he will compete against the First place winners in every state (plus three territories).  SkillsUSA National Conference is not only a competition but the largest "Tech/Career/Expo in the country.  Andrew will have opportunities to experience all that is offered.  Andrew will be accompanied by his teacher Georgina Thompson.  Travel arrangements made by Traveltyme, Inc.  No school days will be missed.  Dates of the event are June 19-25, 2011 in Kansas City, Missouri.  Student cost of $1278.00 was paid by family and teacher costs will be paid from CTE funds.   

Recommendation
Approve the field trip for Andrew Wilde to compete in the Skills USA 2011 National Conference in Kansas City, Missouri
