2011-12 Cooperative Agreement with Recording for the Blind and Dyslexic (RFB&D)
Recording for the Blind and Dyslexic (RFB&D) is a Federal/State agency which records books on tape for students with visual impairments or dyslexia. The school district will provide a school membership that includes 25 to 100 books and listening equipment for each school. There are currently 2700 audio books in circulation to 48 elementary, middle and high schools. Funding will be provided through our Individuals with Disabilities (IDEA) part B, Entitlement, and will not exceed a total of $23,000.
Approve the Cooperative Agreement between the School board of Brevard County, Florida and the Recording for the Blind and Dyslexic (RFB&D), "Learning through Listening".
