Agenda Item #35
Approval of Three (3) Contracted Services Agreements with Family Liaison Consultants for the 2009-2010 School Year
The Office of Exceptional Student Education Program Support provides continuing support to families of students with disabilities. These funds are alloted specifically for parent projects through the State Department of Education under the Individuals with Disabilities Act (IDEA), Part B Entitlement. Ms. Terry Tomaka and Mr. Jim Gerhauser have served in the capacity of "family liaisons" to Brevard families for several years.
This recommendation has been modified from the original Information item presented on May 26, 2009. This change reflects the addition of a third consultant position to the Family Liaison Project. This position, unlike the former two, will be funded under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act 2009 (ARRA). We request that all three positions be approved at the Board meeting of June 16, 2009, even though the third consultant has not as yet been identified.

This recommendation has been modified from the Information item presented on May 26, 2009. This change reflects the addition of a third consultant to the Family Liaison Project.
