07-10-2012 Regular School Board Meeting
Agenda Item #24

Title
Head Start Center Supervisor Position

Discussion
The position of Center Supervisor - Head Start is required to appropriately staff the two stand-alone preschool centers that will be operated as part of the Head Start grant previously approved by the Board. Although each center will be assigned to a designated principal, a person with supervisory ability is needed to provide on-site, daily leadership and supervision necessary for a separate preschool center. District staff considered existing job descriptions and determined that a center supervisor is the most fiscally responsible approach to providing adequate supervision for the preschool program sites.

Recommendation
Approve the position of Center Supervisor - Head Start.
