Agenda Item #30
Time to Teach Consultant
Time to Teach is a researched based, school-wide process to develop teacher effectiveness in order to improve student achievement. The training includes motivating ideas of how to prevent and handle challenging behavior, how to communicate with students in such a way that minimizes escalation, as well as how to build positive relationships through positive, meaningful rewards.
Attached is information which includes test data and a description of how Time To Teach merges with Positive Behavior System (PBS) and Response to Intervention ( RTI).
This training will be shared with Riverview Elementary as we share students throughout the school year. It truly encompasses the rigor, relevance, and relationship pieces we need here and at every Title I school.
All accompanying materials will be purchased with Title I funds.
Due to time restraints and only one board meeting in July this item is being submitted for consent without information.
