Satellite Beach HS Auditorium Canopy Repairs - Change Order #1 for Unforeseen Conditions
On 3/11/14 the School Board approved Ruby Builders Inc. to provide Construction Management Services for the repair to Satellite Beach High School Auditorium canopy under their Continuing Contract for Construction Management Services.
During the course of this work a badly deteriorated roof sub-deck was uncovered which was unforeseen at the time of design and bidding. This unforeseen condition has resulted in additional scope for the Construction Manager in the amount of $15,855.64 for additional material and labor and 10 additional days for a revised contract completion date of August 8, 2014.
Adequate funding is budgeted in the project reserve.
Per Policy 6340, the Superintendent has approved the Change Order in the name of the Board for the purpose of expediting the work in progress. Such approval must be confirmed by the School Board at the next Regular or Special Board Meeting.

Approve Change Order #001 to Ruby Builders Inc. under their Continuing Contract for Construction Management Services for the repair to Satellite Beach High School Auditorium Canopy increasing their Guaranteed Maximum Price (GMP) by $15,855.644 to $121,080.64 with a 10 days extension to their Contract Time.
